How to migrate from Koinly to kointax step by step

Step 1: Export your Koinly data
- Log in to your Koinly account
- Go to Settings → Data Export
- Select All Transactions in CSV format
- Download the file (may take several minutes for large transaction histories)
Step 2: Set up your kointax account
- Register at kointax.io (free)
- Complete your profile indicating you're a Spanish tax resident
- Select the tax year you want to report
Step 3: Import the Koinly CSV
- In kointax, go to Connections → Import CSV
- Select Koinly as the source format
- Upload the exported file
- kointax will automatically detect the format and map the fields
Step 4: Connect your exchanges directly
Use the migration to connect your exchanges directly via API in kointax for always up-to-date data without manual export/import.
Step 5: Review and generate your tax report
Once imported, kointax will automatically calculate capital gains/losses per AEAT FIFO, capital income (staking, interest), the draft for IRPF boxes, and Models 172/173 if required.
